“Beautiful Singing Nurturing Beautiful Children”
Our Guest Concert is coming up fast. I, for one, am looking forward to this year’s performance because I’ll get to sit in the audience with my eight-year-old grandson who can’t wait to hear “other kids sing.”
The Santa Cruz Chorale will welcome the Cantabella Children’s Chorus to perform at Holy Cross on March 24th at 4pm. The children, ranging in age from 5-17, come from the area in and around Dublin, Livermore, Pleasanton and Lafayette. The program features compositions by modern-day composers from Hungary, Japan, and Estonia as well as selected folk songs and spirituals. The concert will also include a world premiere. The Santa Cruz audience will be the first to hear a work titled E-Yeo-Do Sah-nah by Nackum Paik. This piece was commissioned by the Cantabella Children’s Chorus for them to sing in the 2019 World Youth Choir Festival in South Korea.
I have no doubt that the Cantabella Children’s Chorus will inspire my grandson. Get inspired! Bring the young people in your life to Holy Cross on Sunday, March 24th at 4pm for a fine afternoon of exhilarating sound.
