The centerpiece of this year’s “Christmas with the Chorale” was Austrian composer Heinrich Biber’s Magnificat for orchestra and choir. Our colorful program also offered a wide variety of music composed through the centuries to celebrate Christmas, including works by Byrd, Scheidt, Elgar, Britten, Tavener, Biebl and others.
The Monterey Bay Sinfonietta joined the Chorale again, and, as is our tradition, the concert ended with favorite carols from around the world.
