Dear Friends and supporters of the Santa Cruz Chorale,
This is a reminder that the Santa Cruz Chorale presents its Christmas concert this coming week end at Holy Cross Church in Santa Cruz.
This year, we will take you through centuries of festive music from the 16th to the 21st. Along with selections by Claudio Monteverdi and Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina, works by Telemann, Tschaikovsky, Salomone Rossi, Mendelssohn, Tavener, Kverno, Owolabi, Poston and Gjeilo will fill the program. The Monterey Bay Sinfonietta, the Santa Cruz Community Music School ensemble, and organist Vlada Volkova-Moran will provide accompaniment and solos.
As always, familiar carol friends will repeat the sounding joy of the season.
The Sunday perfmance has SOLD OUT, so if you have not yet bought tickets, we encourage you to come Saturday night. You’ll enjoy the wonderful atmosphere of the church at night, and may be able to get seats closer to the front for a more intense musical experience. Please plan to arrive early for best choice of seats.
