Hello dear Music Friends,
We hope you have your tickets already for our final concert of the season: Saturday June 3rd and Sunday June 4th!
We are always grateful to have as partners in our concerts the accomplished musicians of the Santa Cruz Sinfonietta. This concert is no different. The presence of the wind instruments greatly complements the beautiful compositions of both Fauré and Mendelssohn.
In addition to the Requiem and the Cantique de Jean Racine by Fauré and the two Cantatas by Mendelssohn, the Chorale will open with “Fear not, O Land” by British composer Edward Elgar and will also include “The Lord is my Shepherd” by the Irish Romantic composer, Sir Charles Villiers Stanford. The concert will conclude with Mendelssohn’s “Verleih uns Frieden,” a work the chorale members find particularly moving and meaningful.
Concert Time and Place:
Saturday, June 3, 2017 8:00 pm
Sunday, June 4, 2017 4:00 pm
Holy Cross Church, 126 High Street, Santa Cruz
Tickets can be purchased at http://santacruzchorale.org/tickets or at the door. For this concert, courtesy of a Board Member, all student admissions are free.
See you at the concert!
